Nowadays, with so many vape cotton choices out there, it is really hard for many vapers to make a decision regarding which one is the best vape cotton.

There are 2 parts to this: some cottons are better than others, but part of that is simply preference. The other part is any “vape cotton” will work and there is no wrong cotton.

So with that said, personally, I have used a lot of different vape cotton. I have used organic pads (Koh Gen Do), Demon Killer Organic Muscle Cotton, Cotton Bacon V2, Cotton Bacon Prime, Kendo Vape Cotton Gold Edition, Vapefly Firebolt Cotton, and Wotofo Cotton.

So let’s go over the top 7 vape cottons available on the market today.

Best Vape Cotton – 1. Cotton Bacon Prime

Cotton Bacon Prime is the latest in their long line of cotton and a nice improvement after their V2 version. It’s extremely fluffy and easy to work with. It comes in a bag in strips, you cut off a piece of the strip then simply pull off the amount needed and put the rest back in the bag. Like all kinds of cotton, it takes some practice by eyeballing the right amount.

So always go bigger as you can pull off more if you went too big and it’s easier to do that than to add more on. Outside of that though it absorbs e-juice really well, needs minimal fluffing (if any) and doesn’t have a break in period.

Best Vape Cotton – 2. Kendo Gold

My second favorite cotton to use. This cotton comes packaged very similar to Cotton Bacon Prime with the 1 main difference being instead of coming in strips, it comes in one long piece inside the bag. Outside of that though it has all the same strengths as Cotton Bacon Prime in that it’s easy to work with, really fluffy and requires minimal, if any fluffing, and wicks really well too. The only reason I put this below Cotton Bacon is that it’s a little harder to prime at first.

Best Vape Cotton – 3. Cotton Bacon V2

My third favorite cotton. It comes packaged the same as the Prime version but the difference is that it’s packed in a little tighter so it will need more fluffing and combing than the top 2. The break-in period is still very short but a little longer than the top 2. Still with that said it is often very easy to find and cheaper than the Prime version or the Kendo Gold and was the best vape cotton on the market for many years so if you are looking to save a few bucks or see a good sale on it, it is well worth picking up a bag or 2.

Best Vape Cotton – 4. Organic Cotton Pads

My 4th favorite but honestly not a fan to use often these days. Some people swear by them though and the pros are that they are available everywhere and not just on vape sites and stores since it is a beauty product and not a vape product and it is much cheaper and the cheapest option on this list so makes a good choice if you are on a really tight budget.

There are a few brands out there and make sure to buy only the organic and non-bleached ones. The 2 popular brands are Koh Gen Do and Muji. They come in a pack of square pads and each pad is easily enough to wick 4-6 coils and can be purchased in packs of 60-200 pads usually. The cons are they are harder to work with and you will need to take a pad and cut it down to size.

You need to eyeball it but over time it becomes easier with practice. After cutting it down to the size you need to peel off the top and bottom layers of the pad then you can thread it through your coil. It requires a good amount of fluffing and has a larger break-in period than the top 3 as well but once you get it going it works really well.

Best Vape Cotton – 5. Vapefly Firebolt Cotton

Vapefly is a trusted brand in the vape industry and the Firebolt Cotton from them takes the 5th spot in our list because it’s really good for RDA builds, so fluffy and wicks extremely well.

This cotton is made entirely of 100% organic Japanese cotton, so it’s free of harmful chemicals, colorants or bleach. Besides, the Vapefly Firebolt Cotton is super absorbent and is perfect for rebuildable dripping atomizers (RDA), rebuildable tank atomizers (RTA), rebuildable tank atomizers (RDTA).

Overall, very good cotton for wicking. Each strand is quite long and I can use it to wick two 3mm ID round coils. You can´t go wrong with it.

Best Vape Cotton – 6. Demon Killer Organic Muscle Cotton

The Demon Killer Organic Muscle Cotton ranks 6th in this list thanks to its excellent absorption and heat resistance.

Just like the Vapefly Firebolt Cotton we’ve mentioned above, the Demon Killer Organic Muscle Cotton is also made of organic Japanese cotton, so it’s super absorbent, with high heat resistance, and has no chemicals and pesticides. Besides, this soft vape cotton features large fiber and thick flat cotton strips, ideal for RDAs, RTAs and RDTAs.
