OneVape Mace 55 Pod Kit Review

The vape brand OneVape just launched a new product from the Mace series. The OneVape Mace 55 is a powerful pod kit that reminds some of other all-in-one devices we have recently seen hitting the vape market.

OneVape Mace 55 Design & Specs

The Mace 55 by OneVape is an AIO (all-in-one) device powered by 1500 mAh built-in battery. This is a very large battery capacity for a device of this kind, equal to other similar pod kits such as the Voopoo Vinci.

Made in alumnium alloy and PCTG, the Mace 55 can be fully charged in less than one and a half hour thanks to the Type-C USB port located in one side of the device, under the a window to see the e-liquid capacity. It is not common to see the USB port there as most vape companies normally place it in the front bottom part of the mod. I personally don’t have any issues with that.

The Mace 55 is bulky but not heavy at all and it comfortably fits in the back of your hand. Size wise, I would say this pod is slightly bigger than other pods measuring at 26 mm (L) x 28 mm (D) x 102 mm (L). The design of this mod is certainly unusual as the mod has a hexagonal shape. The front part hosts a responsive fire button and a colorful resin panel where we can see the name of the brand ‘ONE.’

The mod is able to reach a maximum output power of 55W. The power can be regulated by clicking the fire button 3 times.  See the image down below for further information.

The pod mod is magnetized so you just have to pop the pod into the battery compartment. This pod system features top filling with 2 filling holes. The mouth piece must be removed to fill up the pod which has 3.5 ml capacity. The coils are replaceable and they just have to be pop in from the bottom of the pod.  The design of the pod and the mod allows a very airy airflow, but it is not adjustable.

Here comes the most interesting part of this device! The Pod is visible from the outside and you are able to see the liquid from 2 different windows. In addition, OneVape offers 4 type of coils: TM0.2ohm (Triple Mesh Coil), DM0.3ohm (Dual Mesh Coil), M0.6ohm (Single Mesh Coil) and RBA rebuildable deck for your own coils. The mod does not take any coil reading lower than 0.2ohms.

The flavor and vapor production is very impressive, especially with the dual mesh coil. All these coils are able to drain 70VG-30PG e-liquid with no issues.

Pros 

• Light device with large battery capacity
• E-liquid visible from the outside
• Large e-liquid capacity
• Strong and reliable magnets, no rattle
• Comfortable drip tip on lips
• Easy to clean and wash
• Good flavor and vapor production
• Many coil options

Cons

• Removing the mouth piece for refilling is not comfortable
• The airflow is not adjustable
• Weird design -but this is subjective!

Final Thoughts

The OneVape Mace 55 is DL pod mod that allows some customization. In terms of build quality, it is possibly not the best of its kind but it does perform well. The flavor and vapor production is on the spot and the coils are long-lasting and the coil replacements not too expensive.

Price-wise, the OneVape Mace 55 is considerably cheaper than other similar pod kits such as the VOOPOO Vinci X. For just $30, the Mace 55 is a good option for those who don’t want to spend some extra money on a fancy pod mod with OLED screen and better build quality. The Mace 55 does what the job with any extra fancy features.
