“Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito…” Not sure if the new device Smoant Pasito Pod System was inspired by the popular song Despacito. In any case, what is worth mentioning about this new pod system is not the name, but the fact that it is the first of its kind featuring rebuildable coils.
Yes, you heard that right. Smoant went a “pasito” forward with the pod and they came up with a revolutionary pod mod starter kit with three different coils (DTL-Mesh 0.6ohm/MTL-Ni80 1.4ohm/RBA Coil for single coil building) and 5-level adjustable voltages (10W/13W/16W/20W/25W).

Build Quality and Features of the Smoant Pasito Pod System
The Smoant Pasito is a beautiful pod mod made in space aluminium. Following the design of the popular Lost Vape Orion, the Pasito also features resin panels with CPR technology. Thanks to this technology, the resin panels look brighter and more colorful as well as leaving no finger prints. Besides, measuring 38mm by 18mm by 102mm, the pod mod has and excellent finish and a compact size.
The Pasito has 5 led light indicators located one side of the panels which provide information about the battery life and the power level. There are 5 output levels (10W/13W/16W/20W/25W) you can choice from. The led light goes from green to red to let you know the battery level as well.
Powered by a built-in 1100 mAh battery, this pod vape features the ANT chip which can deliver constant output even when the battery level is low. The pod system has a Type-C USB port which ensures fast charging in case that large battery capacity is not good enough to keep you vaping all day long! But we doubt it…
More about the Smoant Pasito Pod System
Here comes the most interesting part! The pod is magnetized so you just have to pop it in once the coil has been installed. We have seen many companies coming up with different type of coils for pods (mesh, ceramic coils…) recently, but never with so many options as the Smoant Pasito Pod System.
The Pod Kit gives you 3 options: a replaceable mesh coil reading at 0.6 ohms for direct inhaling, a mouth-to-lung Ni80 coil reading at 1.4 ohms and a RBA coil for single coil building. This is the first time we get our hands on a pod system with a rebuildable section. Not sure if this is meeting the definition of a pod though, but it is cool to have so many options!
The pod or cartridge is made of food-grade PCTG and has 3 ml capacity. Once the coil has been installed and the pod is on the mod, you just have to click on the small button to switch between the 5 different output levels (from 10 to 25 watts). The pod mod features a top fill that ensures a leak free experience. The airflow is not adjustable and the drip tip is matching the resin panel colors.
Conclusion
The Smoant Pasito Pod System offers a lot of versatility for just $35. This is more than just a back up device and can be used by both people new to vaping and advanced users. We would recommend newbies to start with the MTL coil and then move into the mesh coil. Using the rebuildable part involves some knowledge but it is a great extra if you want to learn how to build your own coils. If not, you can always buy the replaceable coils which are inexpensive.
