Unboxing the Vapor Storm Trip 200W
The Vapor Storm Trip is available in a full kit with a tank but it can also be purchased separately. The full kit comes with the Vapor Storm Trip box mod, the Trip Tank, an extra 2ml glass tube, a USB cable and user manual.
The Vapor Storm Trip MOD
The Vapor Storm Trip is made in aero-metal and PC, which gives the mod a light feeling. Powered by dual 18650 batteries, this box mod is able to reach a maximum output power of 200W (6.4V-8.4V). The Trip is available in silver, red, blue and black colours, all of them featuring a suitcase design measuring 85 x 51 x 27mm.
The mod has a magnetized door that you can easily take off to load your batteries in, and it features a 0.91 inch OLED screen. Right under the screen, there are two small buttons to increase and decrease the wattage. The device is activated by a big and cliquey fire button. The mod also includes a USB charging port, although it is always better to charge the batteries with an external charger.
The chipset inside this mod is able to fire coils as low as 0.06 and it supports almost any type of wire including Ni200 (0.06Ω to 0.5Ω), Ti01 (0.06Ω to 1Ω) and SS316 (0.06Ω to 1Ω). Therefore, you can operate the Trip on temperature control mode as well.
The screen displays a very easy to use interface with most of the basics and some protections such as 10 seconds cut off. Simple and effective.
The Vapor Storm Trip Tank
The full version includes the Trip tank that can be also purchased separately. This sub-ohm tank works with pre-made coils made in 304 Stainless Steel. This tank is 24 mm in diameter and it matches the 4 colours available for the Trip mod.
The Hawk coil is a 0.2-ohm mesh coil made for both clouds and flavour chasing. The replacement is super affordable (only $5 for 3 coils) and excellent flavour which is Vapor Storm Hawk Replacement Coil. The tank comes with a pre-installed a 2ml glass tube, but it also includes a 6ml glass tube in the package and a 510 drip tip.
Conclusion
Vapour Storm is hitting back with a new low-cost vape product. The full kit is available on pre-order for less than $60 while the tank only costs $16 and the mod only $45. This is a very interesting kit for those willing to save some bucks on their first vape.
There is nothing really fancy about this Vapor Storm Trip Kit but the performance and build quality of the product is very decent and the device does exactly what it says it does. If you are looking for something simple yet effective, then this is the mod or kit you might be looking for.
