Vaporesso Cascade Sub-Ohm Tank Review

In my quest to find the best sub-ohm tank I’ve discovered many different tanks that stand out for a reason. Some don’t quite live up to my expectations and some have coils which last no longer than a day. I want a coil to last me a lot longer than that, but then we come to this tank – the Vaporesso Cascade Sub-Ohm Tank. This is big and I don’t just mean in flavor and performance but the sheer size of this tank. It’s huge!

Vaporesso Cascade Sub-Ohm Tank Packaging List:

So as I take this tank for a test run. It becomes apparent you need to use this tank on a fairly decent sized mod to make this look in proportion. I mean this tank holds a whopping 7ml of juice. We have 5ml sat in a reserve below the glass level and 2ml sat upon glass level, but you need the 7ml of juice as this tank is thirsty!

Vaporesso Cascade Sub-Ohm Tank Colour Options:

  • Rainbow
  • Blue
  • Stainless Steel
  • Matte Black

Now it’s worth noting the color options as the rainbow version is the only one of the tanks that comes with a 510 resin drip tip. The other colors all come supplied with a black delrin drip tip which for me I found unusual. Why supply one and not the others?

Measurements for this tanks are 25ml on the base, 28ml at the tanks widest point around the glass and a huge 56mm in length. Take a look from the top to the bottom and we can see the top fill design which for me is a bonus as I like to just pour the ejuice in nice and quick and not have to wait for each drip to go into the tank. The top cap is reverse thread which again is a unique point to this tank. Moving down the tanks we see the glass and the extra reserve situated beneath this, triple airflow which is adjustable one side to the next.

Taking a look at the bottom of the tank we see the smooth 510 thread which is non adjustable. Unscrew the base and we see the coils are press fitted. I like this feature, ejuice the coils to prime and then press into place with no problems. The 0.15ohm quad core coil is the pre installed version here and we have the extra 0.4 macro coil supplied as extra.

Using the macro coils the flavor is not as dominant as the quad core coils which is to be expected but it still produces a fair amount particularly if you are using 50/50 or 60/40 ejuice, daily usage of the quad core coils and I had 15 days of decent flavor before the coils begun to turn and need replacing, but this was daily use at 90w.

Take a look at the extra GT adapter Vaporesso have supplied with this tank. It’s a bonus to this tank as it enables you to use the GT coils that the Swag kit came supplied with. Trying this out is easy to use. Unscrew the adapter, place GT coil inside, screw together and press fit into the Cascade tank and its job done.

Vaporesso Cascade Sub-Ohm Tank Pros and Cons

Now I have used this tank for the last 3 weeks and despite immense flavor and cloud production there are a few downsides.

Cons for me would be the fact the only supply the resin drip tip for the rainbow tank and the other 3 color options only get delrin. Another con I would like to see improved would be the top fill option. Although top fill in my eyes is a bonus, I would like to have seen some form of locking mechanism added to avoid the top cap coming open during usage. It’s great to add the GT adapter as an extra feature but they don’t supply a GT coil with this which for me personally would have made this a little better.

Now for some Pros to this tank.  The color options for me are great. The Matte black has to be the best version as I love the stealthy look to it. The top fill design is great and gives ease of adding ejuice. The airflow is ample and gives a great amount of flavor by giving the triple intake. E-juice capacity for me is a big thumbs up..7ml in total! The designs and colors are eye-catching and sure to be a winner for Vaporesso, and finally the press fitted coils are again a bonus to this tank. I like the ease of use and the no nonsense approach to changing coils.

Overall I’m happy with this tank however with a few minor adjustments it could be made better. E-juice capacity is a winner and its flavor was great!
